We think a privacy policy should work like a good product label. You should be able to read it and know what you're getting. So this is a plain account of what information we collect when you visit Purely Found, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Purely Found LLC. You may have known us before as ShroomBuddy. It's the same team and the same shop, under a new name.

Our website address is: https://purelyfound.com

Our business address is: 2630 Carriage Crossing Drive, Matthews, NC 28105

Purely Found is intended for adults 21 and over.

What personal information we collect, and why

Orders

When you place an order, we collect what we need to fill it: your name, contact details, shipping address, and the details of what you bought. We also collect your payment information, but only for as long as it takes to pass it securely to our payment processor. We do not store debit or credit card numbers on our own systems.

You can see your personal information and order history at any time by logging into your account or by using the Check Order Status form.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we receive three things: what you typed in the form, your IP address, and your browser user agent string. That last one is a short description of the browser you're using. It helps us tell real people from spam.

We may also send an anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile there. Gravatar's privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture appears publicly alongside it.

Media

If you upload an image, strip out the embedded location data (EXIF GPS) first. Anyone who visits the site can download that image and read the location straight out of it. We'd rather you not share more than you meant to.

Contact Us form

Messages sent through our Contact Us form give us your name and email address. We use them only to get back to you.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores so the site can remember things between page loads. These are the ones we set:

  • Your cart. Add an item to your cart and we set a temporary cookie to keep track of it. It holds no personal data, and it disappears when you close your browser.
  • Comments. You can choose to save your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don't have to retype them next time. This one lasts a year.
  • Login page. Visiting the login page sets a brief cookie whose only job is to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It's gone as soon as your browser closes.
  • Logging in. Once you log in, we set cookies to remember your login and your screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen options cookies last one year. If you check "Remember Me," your login persists for two weeks instead. Logging out removes the login cookies.
  • Editing content. Editing or publishing an article saves one more cookie. It contains nothing but the ID of the post you edited, and it expires after one day.

Analytics

Two third-party tools help us understand how people find and use our site. Each has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them:

Embedded content from other websites

Some of our articles include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles from other sites. Interacting with that content works the same way it would if you had visited the other website directly.

Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, add their own third-party tracking, and monitor how you interact with the embedded content. That is especially likely when you have an account with them and are logged in.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. The only people outside our organization who see it are the service providers who help us run the shop: our payment processor (to complete your purchase) and the analytics and email tools named above. Each of them is bound by their own privacy policy.

How long we keep your information

Orders. We keep customer data, order data, and payment status data indefinitely so we can support you, honor returns, and meet our record-keeping obligations. Card numbers are the exception, as noted above; we never store them. Your information and order history are available anytime by logging in or using the Check Order Status form.

Comments. Comments and their metadata stay on file indefinitely. That way we can recognize you and approve your follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Accounts. Registered users' profile information stays with us for as long as the account exists. You can see, edit, or delete that information whenever you like. One exception: your username can't be changed. Site administrators can also see and edit your profile information.

Your rights over your information

If you have an account, have placed an order, or have left a comment, you can ask us for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including anything you've given us directly. You can also ask us to erase that data. The only records we'll hold onto are the ones we're required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where we send your information

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Questions?

If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to exercise any of the rights above, we're glad to help. Contact Us and a real person will get back to you.
