Purely Found (formerly ShroomBuddy) carries a carefully selected group of brands: Asheville Dispensary, Dreamer Shrooms, Kats Botanicals, Road Trip, Root of Happiness, and SOHI. Between them, they cover the botanicals we get asked about most often: Amanita muscaria, kava, kanna, blue lotus, and mushroom blends. Shop online or visit us in Charlotte or Matthews.
How a brand earns a spot on our shelf
We don’t try to carry everything. A brand has to meet a few plain standards first.
- Clear labels. You should be able to read what’s in a product, how much of it there is, and how it was prepared without decoding anything.
- Lab tested. Every brand here makes third-party lab results available, so you can check identity, purity, and potency for yourself.
- Transparent sourcing. Where a plant comes from matters for quality, and for respecting the people and places it comes from.
- Honest claims. If a brand leans on words like “miracle” or “cure,” it doesn’t make it through. And if a product’s safety record is thin, we’d rather leave a gap on the shelf.
What you’ll find across these brands
Amanita muscaria. Gummies, tinctures, and dried caps from Dreamer Shrooms and Road Trip, among others. Amanita has a long history in Siberian and northern European traditions, and it is very different from psilocybin mushrooms. It’s worth reading up before you start, and starting gently when you do. Kava. Root of Happiness, Asheville Dispensary, and Kats Botanicals carry kava in several formats, from traditional root powder to concentrated extracts. Kava is traditionally prepared as a shared drink across Pacific Island cultures, including Vanuatu, Fiji, and Tonga. Kanna and blue lotus. Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) has been used traditionally by the Khoisan peoples of Southern Africa; SOHI offers it as gummies. Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) has roots in ancient Egypt along the Nile. You’ll find kanna and blue lotus as teas, tinctures, gummies, and blends. Mushroom blends. Several of our brands offer mushroom-inspired blends that pair botanicals in a single product. One note for returning ShroomBuddy customers: we no longer carry standalone Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps, or Reishi. Some blends may still include them, so check the label if that matters to you.
A word on formats
A kava tea and a kava extract can be very different experiences, even from the same brand. The same goes for an Amanita gummy versus a dried cap. Many people report noticeable differences in onset, strength, and duration between formats. So if you’re new to a botanical, start with a gentler format and a smaller amount, then pay attention to how you actually feel. No rush, no pressure.
The science on many of these plants is still developing. We’ll always tell you what’s traditionally understood, what people commonly report, and what research hasn’t settled yet.
