SOHI

SOHI started with a question plenty of people have asked themselves: why does a good night out so often come with a rough morning after? The founders wanted to feel at ease at parties, dinners, and first dates without leaning on alcohol. They landed on kanna and built a small lineup around it.

Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is a small succulent native to the arid regions of South Africa, where Khoikhoi and San communities have a long history with it. They fermented and chewed the plant and valued it in social and ceremonial life. That history deserves respect. It also has limits as a guide. Traditional use shows how a plant has been valued over time; it doesn't predict what the plant will do for you, and modern research on kanna is still early.

The SOHI products in this collection come in two formats. The gummies are built around kanna extract paired with other botanical ingredients listed on the label, in four flavors: Electric Blue Razz, Mango Dream, Peach Glow, and Watermelon Wave. The Social Energy Shot in Peach Mango Pineapple is the drinkable option, meant for the same kind of evening in a quicker form. Either way, SOHI leaves out fillers, and the label tells you what's inside and why it's there. A gummy and a shot can land differently. It's reasonable to pick one, learn how it sits with you, and only then try the other.

Because the research is early, expect some variation. Some people notice very little. Start gently with the lowest suggested serving and give it time before deciding anything. Kanna may interact with SSRIs and other medications that affect serotonin, so if you take anything in that category, or you're pregnant, nursing, or managing a health condition, talk with a qualified healthcare professional first. SOHI products are for adults 21 and over.

We carry SOHI because their approach lines up with ours: clear labels, no fillers, and an honest read on what the plant may offer. In a category where curiosity often runs ahead of the evidence, that kind of plain labeling is worth a lot.
